60% of Canadians support the signing of a free trade agreement with China

A survey of the University of Alberta in Canada shows that 60% of Alberta residents want Canada to establish closer ties with China, and 49% believe that China's growing economic strength will benefit the province.
The survey results show that 56% of respondents believe that the signing of a free trade agreement with China is beneficial to the Alberta economy. The same survey conducted in the summer of 2016 shows that only 44% of residents want to negotiate with China on the free trade agreement.
