Examples of EN Standards

  EN 13982-1:2004 (Type 5):

Dry Particle Suit (Type 5). This specifies the minimum requirements for chemical protective clothing resistant to penetration by airbourne solid particles. Protects against hazardous dust and dry particles.

EN 13034:2005 (Type 6 and Type PB 6):

Reduce Spray Suit (Type 6) and partial body protection items (PB 6). This specifies the minimum requirements for chemical protective clothing offering limited protective performance against liquid chemicals (Type 6 and Type PB 6 equipment). This standard tests for liquid chemical sprays and splashes that are not directional or built up on a suit but there may be a fine mist of droplets in the atmosphere.
